Intracranial fibrosarcoma treated with adjuvant radiation and temozolomide: Report of a case and review of all published cases

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian National Cancer Institute, 2016
Introduction: Fibrosarcoma is a rare brain tumour with 33 cases reported so far. However, there is no clear consensus about the nature of the disease and treatment as well as outcome.

Fibrosarcoma: Origin, differential diagnosis, and report of a case in the mandible

open access: yesJournal of Indian Society of Periodontology, 2022
Fibrosarcoma (FS) is a malignant neoplasm of mesenchymal cells with no specific line of differentiation. Histologically, it mimics the wide spectrum of benign and malignant spindle cell neoplasms creating diagnostic conundrum.

Sclerosing epithelioid fibrosarcoma as a rare cause of ascites in a young man: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2008
Introduction Sclerosing epithelioid fibrosarcoma is a rare but distinct variant of fibrosarcoma that not only presents as a deep-seated mass on the limbs and neck but can also occur adjacent to the fascia or peritoneum, as well as the trunk and spine. We

Fibrosarcoma of the meninges [PDF]

open access: yesRare Tumors, 2010
Meningeal fibrosarcomas are rare tumors. Only 41 cases have been reported in the literature to date. Primary central nervous system fibrosarcomas are very aggressive neoplasms and have a poor prognosis. Hence they need to be correctly diagnosed. This is a case of a 13-year old boy with intracranial space occupying lesion.

Huge Dedifferentiated Liposarcoma of the Left Thigh with a High Grade Fibrosarcomatous Differentiation and a Local Recurrence [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2013
Dedifferentiated liposarcoma is one of the variants of liposarcoma which has a more aggressive course. It constitutes less than 10% of all the liposarcomas and is often found in the retroperitoneum and the mediastinum. We are reporting a rare case of

Ovarian fibrosarcomas

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, 2002
Ovarian fibrosarcomas originating from the ovarian stroma are rare but aggressive tumors, associated with an extremely poor prognosis. Ovarian fibrosarcomas are commonly large, unilateral, highly vascular tumors with evidence of inside hemorrhage and necrosis (1–3). There have been sporadic reports in the literature regarding ovarian fibrosarcomas, the

Abdominal wall congenital infantile fibrosarcoma: A rare case report and literature review

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports
Congenital infantile fibrosarcoma is a rare malignant soft tissue tumor, accounting for less than 1%-2% of childhood cancers. Although it can arise from any body part, an abdominal wall origin is exceptionally rare.

SIZ1‐Mediated SUMOylation of LBD29 Recruits ARF7 to Fine‐Tune Auxin Signaling in Lateral Root Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our findings establish SUMOylation as a key post‐translational control layer in auxin signaling. We show that SIZ1‐mediated SUMOylation of LBD29 promotes its association with ARF7, stabilizing a transcriptional hub that governs lateral root development.

Extracellular CIRP Dysregulates Microglial Efferocytosis in Acute Ischemic Stroke via the TLR4/miR‐155/MafB Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
eCIRP released in the stroke brain binds to TLR4 expressed on microglia to induce miR‐155, which suppresses MafB, decreases MerTK and downstream signaling to impair efferocytosis of apoptotic neurons, worsening the acute stroke outcomes. Inhibition of eCIRP‐TLR4 interaction with small peptide C23 attenuates eCIRP‐induced microglial efferocytic ...

Intensive fibrosarcoma-binding capability of the reconstituted analog and its antitumor activity

open access: yesDrug Delivery, 2018
Fibrosarcomas are highly aggressive malignant tumors. It is urgently needed to explore targeted drugs and modalities for more effective therapy. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) play important roles in tumor progression and metastasis, while several MMPs
