On the structure of topological spaces [PDF]
The structure of topological spaces is analysed here through the lenses of fibrous preorders. Each topological space has an associated fibrous preorder and those fibrous preorders which return a topological space are called spacial. A special class of spacial fibrous preorders consisting of an interconnected family of preorders indexed by a unitary ...

Failure regime in (1+1) dimensions in fibrous materials [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce a model for fracture in fibrous materials that takes into account the rupture height of the fibers, in contrast with previous models. Thus, we obtain the profile of the fracture and calculate its roughness, defined as the variance around the mean height.

Osimertinib reduces angiogenesis and PDL1 expression in in ovo tumors, transforming them into ‘cold tumors’ with lower immune activity. Anatomopathological and transcriptomic analyses highlight its therapeutic impact on tumor biology. This study underscores osimertinib's potential to reshape the tumor microenvironment and provides insights into its ...

Rupture of the cap of an atherosclerotic plaque can lead to thrombotic cardiovascular events. It has been suggested, through computational models, that the presence of microcalcifications in the atherosclerotic cap can increase the risk of cap rupture ...

Fracture toughness in fibrous materials [PDF]
In the present paper, a fiber bundle model in (1+1)-dimensions that simulates the rupture process of a fibrous material pulled by an uniaxial force F is analyzed. In this model the load of a broken fiber is shifted in equal portions onto the nearest unbroken fibers.

Reproducibility of In Vivo Measurements for Fibrous Cap Thickness and Lipid Arc by OCT
Thin fibrous cap and lipid pool are thought to be major determinants of plaque instability. However, current imaging modalities such as angiography, intravascular ultrasound, and angioscopy do not have sufficient resolution to accurately measure them.

This study examines the incorporation of the polymer BUTVAR during the synthesis of various perovskite structures at room temperature The study demonstrates that the incorporation of the polymer solution enhances the optical characteristics and improves the shape uniformity of the resultant perovskite material without altering the inherent structure of
