ABSTRACT Purpose Gap‐filled zero echo time (ZTE) acquisitions combined with dedicated short‐T2 hardware enable direct collagen imaging on the timescale of macromolecular (MM) signals, with T2s ˜ 10 μs. However, present methods offer limited depiction fidelity, and their specificity towards MM content is poorly understood. This work presents methodology

The effect of air pollution on plants is still underexplored, especially belowground. We used a field facility that released diesel exhaust and ozone at concentrations equivalent to those near a busy road in Reading, UK, to measure belowground gas exchange of Scots pine together with feeding by large pine weevils, a major pest of conifers.

ABSTRACT Rationale Ions trapped within a Penning cell (ICR) travel periodic orbits whose frequencies are dependent on their mass‐to‐charge ratio and the value of the magnetic field passing through the trap. Fourier transformation (FT‐ICR) decomposes the signal induced in the detection circuit by the rotation of the ions in the cell after the ...

Image generation models can create synthetic ecological datasets and potentially alleviate limitations from sparse real data. Using 20 tree genera across community‐science and street‐view imagery, we tested whether synthetic images could replace or supplement real data for image classification.

Oppositely Charged Homopolypeptides Form Ordered Helix Assemblies With Hierarchical Structure
Hexagaonal and square assembly of polyarginine alfa‐helices formed in highly ordered polyarginine/polyaspartic acid complexes. The helices exhibit additional periodic staggering along their helical axis. ABSTRACT Oppositely charged polyelectrolytes are known to form polyelectrolyte complexes.
