Dielectrophoresis Field Flow Fractionation of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes
We report a study on Dielectrophoresis Field Flow Fractionation of Single-Wall Carbon Nanotubes (SWNTs). SWNTs, individually suspended in 1% SDBS solution, were separated by type when they passed a dielectrophoresis field flow fractionation device where ...

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

Hollow-fiber flow field flow fractionation of whole blood serum
Hollow-fiber flow field-flow fractionation is here applied to untreated, whole human blood serum. Matrix-assisted, laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight-mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) of serum fractions shows mass signals in the <30 000Mr range

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Continuous split-flow thin cell and gravitational field-flow fractionation of wheat starch particles
The combined employment of the SPLITT (split-flow thin) cell — a relatively new system for fast, continuous binary separation — and of gravitational field-flow fractionation (GrFFF) — a fractionation technique suitable for micron particle size ...
