Fermion Fields, Boson Fields, and Gravitational Field

Annalen der Physik, 1976
AbstractIf a tetrad theory is derivable from a variational principle with a Lagrangian 𝔏 of the form 𝔏 = 𝔏F+𝔏M 6 tetrad components will be defined by the vacuum equations if the energy momentum tensor is symmetric. Therefore, we look for a realisation of a programme proposed in a little different way by TREDER according to which the 16 tetrad field ...

Field emission, field ionization, and field desorption

Surface Science, 1994
Abstract A brief description of the essential features of the theory of field emission, field ionization, field desorption, and the field emission and field ion microscopes is presented. The principal applications of field emission including work function and surface diffusion measurements, and a brief sketch of the theory of diffusion are also given.

Field or print

Synthese, 1995
Hard-nosed physicists are content with elementary quantum mechanics as it is. Deep searchers desire a deeper comprehension of the theory or rather of reality. Observable internal correlations in micro-system and external correlations between widely separated parts can be calculated at the office.

From field to Field (to field): An archaeological smorgasbord

2014
This resource is a single blog post created as part of the Day of Archaeology initiative. The Day of Archaeology project aimed to provide a window into the daily lives of archaeologists from all over the world. The project asked people working, studying or volunteering in the archaeological world to participate in a 'Day of Archaeology' each year by ...

Fields and Field Lines

2020
The electric and magnetic fields are easily derived from the vector potential using the relations $$\displaystyle \begin{aligned} \mathbf{E}(\mathbf{r},t)=-\frac{{\partial}\mathbf{A}}{{\partial}t}\\ \mathbf{B}(\mathbf{r},t)=\boldsymbol{\nabla}\mathbf{xA}. \end{aligned} $$

Fields and Field Extensions

1997
We have now given two proofs of the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra. Both of these involved much more analysis (calculus) than algebra. The first relied on the analytic properties of two-variable real-valued functions from advanced calculus as well as the continuity of real polynomials while the second proof followed from the theory of complex analysis.
