Amplitude death with mean-field diffusion
Physical Review E, 2012We study the dynamics of nonlinear oscillators under mean-field diffusive coupling. We observe that this form of coupling leads to amplitude death via a synchronization transition in the parameter space of the coupling strength and mean-field control parameter.

In this talk, we will present recent progresses in perturbative calculations of scattering amplitudes at tree and one‐loop levels. At tree level, we will discuss MHV‐diagram method and on‐shell recursion relation. At one‐loop level, we will establish the framework of Unitarity cut method.

Amplitude Metrics for Field Retrieval
Frontiers in Optics, 2006We present metrics for field (both amplitude and phase) retrieval for hard-edged or uniformly illuminated pupil functions. Results are presented for experimental data.

Hard-field THz tomography in amplitude contrast
IEEE SENSORS 2014 Proceedings, 2014We have performed THz tomography imaging inamplitude contrast of shaped Styrofoam phantoms, using a timedomainspectroscopy system. Object cross-sections werereconstructed at certain THz frequencies by separating theFourier transformed frequency components and using standardfiltered backprojection. The resulting images show strong edgeattenuation.

Loop amplitudes in covariant string field theory
Physical Review D, 1987The string-length-parameter (\ensuremath{\alpha}) independence of the on-shell physical N-string amplitudes in the covariant string field theory presented by the authors is shown to all loop orders in perturbation theory and for N\ensuremath{\le}d=26.

Squeezing of the squared field amplitude by an anharmonic oscillator
Physical Review A, 1988Hillery [Opt. Commun. 62, 135 (1987)] has recently shown that the squeezing of the square of the field amplitude is a nonclassical effect. In this paper we show that the interaction of coherent light with a nonlinear medium modeled as a nonabsorbing anharmonic oscillator gives rise to this type of squeezing.

Dynamical response of the Ising model to an amplitude modulated time dependent magnetic field
The dynamical Ising model under the effect of the amplitude modulated time dependent periodic magnetic field has been solved by using effective field theory with Glauber type of stochastic process.

Amplitude-squared squeezing of the electromagnetic field
Physical Review A, 1987Operators are defined which correspond to the real and imaginary parts of the square of the field amplitude. These operators obey an uncertainty relation. Squeezing with respect to these operators is defined and minimum uncertainty states are discussed. A number of nonlinear optical processes are examined and shown to produce this effect.

Shapiro-Virasoro amplitude and string field theory
Physical Review D, 1990One of the embarrassments of covariant string field theory has been the glaring failure to derive the Shapiro-Virasoro amplitude. Modular invariance appears explicitly violated: either the fundamental region is overcounted an infinite number of times, or it is undercounted because of a missing region.
