Highly Amplitude-Squeezed States of the Radiation Field
Physical Review Letters, 1995We propose here a quantum state obtained by evolving a quadrature-squeezed state through a Kerr medium. We give a Mach-Zhender interferometer configuration to generate and displace this state to an appropriate position in phase space. The displaced state is highly amplitude squeezed when the direction of squeezing of the initial quadrature squeezed ...

Phases and amplitudes for a modified repulsive Coulomb field
Physical Review A, 1990The asymptotic form of the radial wave function for positive-energy states is calculated for the case of a repulsive Coulomb field. The cases of a pure Coulomb potential and a modified Coulomb potential are considered. Second-order analytic solutions for the amplitudes and phases are obtained when the modifications to the pure Coulombic potential take ...

Dispersion Imaged Field with No Amplitude DHI
82nd EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition, 2021Summary Lack of hydrocarbon charge and permeability are risk factors for prospective hydrocarbon reservoirs. Dispersion may indicate hydrocarbon charge and permeability. Unproduced hydrocarbon reservoirs may have anomalously high relative permeability and therefore dispersion. Fluid movement in pore throats (on a particle level) indicates permeability,

Field of a finite-amplitude focusing source
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1983An analytical description for the field of a harmonic focusing source is derived. It is valid for spherically concave sources with small aperture angle and high ka, under conditions of quasilinear distortion (strong shocks precluded). The solution furnishes access to the phase and amplitude of second harmonic sound.

Effects of finite amplitude fields on superfluidity
Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 1996One of the most interesting phenomenon currently being studied in low temperature physics involves the effects of a dynamic field, e.g. a finite flow field, on material properties. Reppy and Tyler [1] observed an effect for finite alternating flows of superfluid helium in a porous medium (vycor glass).

Enhancement Of The Stokes Field By Amplitude Fluctuations
SPIE Proceedings, 1985We have analyzed the build-up of the Stokes field when the Raman active medium is coupled to a laser field undergoing amplitude fluctuations. By means of the theory of multiplicative stochastic processes, we have obtained a rigorous solution for Gaussian fluctuations and have shown that fluctuations enhance the build-up of the Stokes field.

Squeezing of the kth power of the field amplitude
Physics Letters A, 1992Abstract k th power amplitude squeezing (KPAS) is strictly hown to be a nonclassical effect ( k >2). It can appear in a Kerr medium. For two states, the relations between KPAS the and common squeezing, Hong-Mandel squeezing and antibuching are investigated.

Amplitude nonuniformity of the magnetic field in a betatron
Soviet Physics Journal, 1969The effects of the amplitude nonuniformity of the magnetic field in a betatron on the forced and betatron radial oscillations of electrons during extraction (or discharge toward the target) at the end of the acceleration cycle are examined. The amplitude and phase dynamics of radial betatron oscillations are studied by means of an analog computer.

Estimation of the high amplitudes of the geoelectric field
The geoelectric field depends on the electrical structure of the ground and the time variations of the geomagnetic field, which become more intense during geomagnetic storms. We present a procedure for identifying the areas of higher amplitude of the geoelectric field and determining the orientation of the geomagnetic field needed to produce these ...Alex Marcuello +5 more
