The modulation of alpha-wave amplitude in human EEG by the intention to act with a motor response
The most conspicuous signal in the human EEG is the so-called alpha wave, oscillations in the frequency range of 8 to 12 Hz. Visual stimulation of the retina suppresses the amplitude of alpha waves (Berger effect), and increased attention can reduce them.

Topological field theory amplitudes for A N−1 fibration [PDF]

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Different field distributions obtained with an axicon and an amplitude mask [PDF]
A combination of an axicon and an amplitude mask is used to obtain an intensity distribution that differs from the typical Bessel one. Experimental and numerical characterization of the field is made for different propagation distances and types of ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Higher-Order Amplitude Squeezing in Six-Wave Mixing Process
We investigate theoretically the generation of squeezed states in spontaneous and stimulated six-wave mixing process quantum mechanically. It has been found that squeezing occurs in field amplitude, amplitude-squared, amplitude-cubed, and fourth power of

The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.
