Summary form only given. Results from studies of the fabrication process and emissivity of FEAs of mold-type made of silicon carbide are presented. The gated and non-gated field emission arrays of SiC sharp emitter tips have been produced by the transfer mold technique.

Field emission properties of AlN nanostructures
2010 8th International Vacuum Electron Sources Conference and Nanocarbon, 2010AIN with different morphologies, including thin film, nanowires, nanoneedles and nanochilies, depending on the controlled growth parameters, have been successfully synthesized by chemical vapor deposition technique. Field emission properties have been systematically studied.

Field Emission in a Magnetic Field
Physical Review, 1963An expression for the field-emission current in a longitudinal magnetic field is derived in the zero-temperature limit. Two cases are considered, corresponding to constant Fermi energy (A) and constant electron density (B). In both cases the calculated current density contains an oscillatory contribution periodic in $\frac{1}{H}$, as well as a term ...

Abstract An in-use compliance test programme is performed in which about 350 vehicles of 68 vehicle types have been measured so far. Vehicles are tested before and after “tuning” over urban and extra-urban driving cycles. The results provide information that has a relation with the Dutch tax incentive scheme: vehicle types can be judged for ...

Field Emission and Field Ionization
1968Both the field-ion microscope and the field-emission microscope are projection microscopes, in which the image is formed by radiation originating from a sharply pointed specimen and diverging from it to strike a fluorescent screen in a vacuum chamber. In the field-emission microscope the image is formed by electrons escaping from the negatively charged

Field emission, field ionization, and field desorption
Surface Science, 1994Abstract A brief description of the essential features of the theory of field emission, field ionization, field desorption, and the field emission and field ion microscopes is presented. The principal applications of field emission including work function and surface diffusion measurements, and a brief sketch of the theory of diffusion are also given.

Field-emission in the presence of a magnetic field
Surface Science, 1975Abstract Transverse effective-mass effects are studied in a pseudo-one-dimensional Kronig-Penney model. Three-dimensional effects are discussed qualitatively. It is shown that the current must be analyzed in terms of the normal, and not the total energy, of electrons in the vacuum and that band effets appear via a structural dependent modulation ...

Field emission from tungsten emitters into liquid H2, D2, He, Ar, N2, O2, and C6H6 has been carried out in modified field emission tubes, which permitted switching from ultrahigh vacuum to very pure liquids and back to vacuum. In all cases space-charge-limited behavior was found at >10−9 A, from which the following mobilities (in centimeter2 ...

Triode RF amplifier structures using field emission cathodes have been investigated from both the theoretical and experimental viewpoint. The physically large experimental structure used and the theoretical calculations for that structure are described. The agreement between theory and experiment for both DC and AC measurements is shown to be very good.

Large positive and negative voltage pulses applied to field emission tips can rearrange atomic or molecular adsorbates on the tip. If this rearrangement persists when field emission is measured at a lower negative voltage, the rearrangement will alter the field emission rate, and the device will function as a switch with memory.
