The Field of Norms Functor and the Hilbert Symbol [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The classical Hilbert symbol of a higher local field $F$ containing a primitive $p^M$-th root of unity $\zeta_M$ is a pairing $F^*/(F^*)^{p^M}\times K_N(F)/p^M \to \mu_{p^M}$, describing Kummer extensions of exponent $p^M$.

Therapeutic Apheresis in Nigeria: A Multi‐Center Summary of Abstracts From the Inaugural Nigerian Society for Apheresis Scientific Meeting

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Underlying SUSY in a generalized Jaynes–Cummings model

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
We present a general qubit-boson interaction Hamiltonian that describes the Jaynes–Cummings model and its extensions as a single Hamiltonian class. Our model includes non-linear processes for both the free qubit and boson field as well as non-linear ...

STBC from field extensions of the rational field

open access: yes, 2002
The construction of space time block code (STBCS) over symmetric m-PSK (m-arbitrary) signal sets for a restricted set of number of antennas n is presented by Sethuraman and Sundar Rajan (see ICC 2002, New York, 2002), using cyclotomic field extensions of

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

EXTENSION OF TENSOR PRODUCT FOR OPERATORS ON THE DIRAC OPERATOR EXAMPLE [PDF]

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник информационных технологий, механики и оптики, 2014
The paper deals with extension method for the operator which is a sum of tensor products. Boundary triplets approach is used. One of the operators is considered to be densely defined and symmetric with equal deficiency indices, the other one is ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Extended Genus Fields of Abelian Extensions of Rational Function Fields

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we obtain the extended genus field of a finite abelian extension of a global rational function field. We first study the case of a cyclic extension of prime power degree. For the general case, we use the fact that the extended genus fields

Higher derivative three-form gauge theories and their supersymmetric extension

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We investigate three-form gauge theories with higher derivative interactions and their supersymmetric extensions in four space-time dimensions. For the bosonic three-form gauge theories, we show that derivatives on the field strength of the 3-form gauge ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
