Nilpotent and abelian Hopf–Galois structures on field extensions [PDF]
Let L / K be a finite Galois extension of fields with group Γ. When Γ is nilpotent, we show that the problem of enumerating all nilpotent Hopf–Galois structures on L / K can be reduced to the corresponding problem for the Sylow subgroups of Γ.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Stringy (Galilei) Newton-Hooke Chern-Simons gravities
We construct Chern-Simons gravities in (2 + 1)-dimensional space-time considering the Stringy Galilei algebra both with and without non-central extensions.

Extensions of degree p4of a p-adic field
Let K be a p-adic field. Restricting to the case of no intermediate extensions, we obtain formulae counting the number of (totally and wildly) ramified extensions of degree p(4) of K up to K-isomorphism and in particular, we count the number of ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

On deformations and extensions of Diff(S 2)
We investigate the algebra of vector fields on the sphere. First, we find that linear deformations of this algebra are obstructed under reasonable conditions.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

STABLE ERGODICITY OF SKEW EXTENSIONS BY COMPACT LIE GROUPS
We extend recent results of Adler, Kitchens & Shub, Parry, and Parry & Pollicott on the stable ergodicity and mixing of toral extensions to skew extensions by compact connected Lie groups.
