Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

In the Magnetic Fields of Materialism and Anthropology [PDF]

open access: yesAnthropology & Materialism, 2013
For all those points in which, despite our most fundamental and concrete agreement in other matters, I differ from you could be summed up and characterized as an anthropological materialism that I cannot accept. It is as if for you the human body represents the measure of all concreteness.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

High-Capacityand Reversible Hydrogen Storage in an Intrinsic Li3B2N2 Monolayer

open access: yesNanomaterials
Hydrogen is widely considered a promising clean energy carrier because of its high energy density and environmental benignity, yet the development of safe and reversible hydrogen storage materials remains a major challenge.

Influence of the intermediate material on the singular stress field in tri-material junctions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
According to the mathematical formalism of the eigenfunction expansion method, the problem of stress-singularities arising from multi-material junctions is addressed.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Quantum Hall effect in a CVD-grown oxide

open access: yesNature Communications
Two-dimensional (2D) electron systems are promising for investigating correlated quantum phenomena. In particular, 2D oxides provide a platform that can host various quantum phases such as quantized Hall effect, superconductivity, or magnetism.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Tuning Structure and Properties of a Ferromagnetic Organic Semiconductor via a Magnetic Field-Modified Reduction Process

open access: yesMagnetochemistry
The development of novel synthesis and assembly strategies is critical to achieving a ferromagnetic organic semiconductor with high Curie temperature. In this study, we report a high magnetic field (HMF)-modified solvothermal approach for the reduction ...
