DIGITAL PHENOTYPING IN THE FIELDS AND IN THE LABORATORY

Sun Induced Fluorescence Calibration and Validation for Field Phenotyping
IGARSS 2018 - 2018 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2018Reliable measurements of Sun Induced Fluorescence (SIF) require a good instrument characterization as well as a complex processing chain. In this paper, we summarize the state of the art SIF retrieval methods and measurements platforms for field phenotyping.

SUMMARYThe frequency of occurrence of a virulence phenotype in a pathogen population is equivalent to its probability of occurrence in that population. From the compound probability law it can thus be shown that the expected frequency of occurrence of phenotypes with combined virulences is a product of the observed frequencies of the individual ...

Phenoliner: a multi-sensor field phenotyping platform
Acta Horticulturae, 2019Because of the perennial nature and size of grapevine, the acquisition of phenotypic data is mostly restricted to the vineyard. The Phenoliner, presented here, is a new type of ground-based, robust, field phenotyping platform. Following the concept of a movable tunnel, the vehicle is based on a grape harvester.

Cable Suspended Large-Scale Field Phenotyping Facility for High-Throughput Phenotyping Research
2021Field-based high-throughput phenotyping (HTP) research has evolved rapidly in recent years. Various HTP platforms are developed with the aim of improving the phenotyping efficiency for plant breeding. To the best of our knowledge, field HTP systems, which have been widely integrated into breeding research, have not been reported yet.

Frequency of virulence phenotypes of Phytophthora fragariae in the field
Plant Pathology, 1988The virulences of 102 single‐zoospore cultures of Phytophthora fragariae from one field site were determined on a range of strawberry differentials, and used to assign the cultures to four clusters (I, II A, IIB, IIC) using cluster analysis. On cv. Favourite, which is susceptible to all known

Development and Deployment of a Portable Field Phenotyping Platform
Crop Science, 2016Accurate and efficient phenotyping has become the biggest hurdle for evaluating large populations in plant breeding and genetics. Contrary to genotyping, high‐throughput approaches to field‐based phenotyping have not been realized and fully implemented.

Field Phenotyping of Wheat Leaf Rust and Stem Rust
The three rust diseases, yellow (stripe) rust, black (stem) rust, and brown (leaf) rust are major challenges to wheat production, causing annual global yield losses of approximately 15 million tons valued at US$ 2.9 billion. Genetic resistance, including race-specific genes (R genes) and adult plant resistance (APR), is the primary control strategy ...Naeela, Qureshi +3 more
