A compact field weakening controller implementation

International Symposium on Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Automation and Motion, 2006. SPEEDAM 2006., 2006
This paper proposes a compact field weakening controller (FWC). The FWC was developed during the development of an electrically driven rear axle for a hybrid electric car. The overall control system of the vehicle, the hybrid controller (HC), delivers a reference torque for the rear drive unit (RDU).

Improved field-weakening control for IFO induction motor

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2003
Generally, good transient response and high conversion efficiency of a field-weakened indirect field-oriented (IFO), induction motor drive are difficult to obtain simultaneously owing to their contradictory behaviors. Moreover, its operating performance is quite sensitive to the flux level, detuned effect, and parameter variations.

Speed control for field-weakened induction motor drive

IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, 2005
The speed control of a field-weakened (FW) indirect field-oriented (IFO) induction motor drive with compensations for system dead-time and parameter variations is presented. Firstly, the DSP-based motor drive with a field-weakening mechanism is designed.

Field weakening in PMSM model based predictive control

2010 IEEE International Conference on Power and Energy, 2010
Drives based on permanent magnet synchronous machines become more and more popular in many industrial applications. In most application traditional control algorithms are used leading to problems with the drive operation optimization. The paper presents a method of field weakening implementation in model based predictive control scheme.

Bandwidth-Based Tuning Method for PMSM Field-Weakening Control With Speed Adaptation

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print)
Bandwidth-based controller tuning method has been maturely applied in the cascaded closed-loop control scheme for the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). However, when occurs the field-weakening, the nonlinearity of the voltage closed-loop hinders

Field weakening optimal control of DC motor drive systems

2013 4th International Symposium on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ISEEE), 2013
This paper presents an energy saving control for the field weakening DC drives. The system model is liniarized and optimal control technique is applied, in order to enhance the DC drive efficiency in the high speed dynamical regimes. The proposed solution is tested and experimental results are presented.

Active-Damping-Based Field-Weakening Control Strategy With Voltage Angle Regulation for High-Speed SPMSM Drive

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print)
The field-weakening (FW) control strategy with voltage angle regulation has the advantages of fast speed and current response by directly decoupling the voltages.

Power-Model-Based Adaptive Overmodulation Scheme for Field-Weakening Control of PMSM

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print)
The field-weakening control can realize the operation above the base speed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), but the torque capacity is still limited by the power of the inverter.
