Linear control of DC motor drive with field weakening
2010 3rd International Symposium on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ISEEE), 2010This paper considers a linear control design of separately excited DC motor system (SEDCM) operated in the field weakening high speed regime. Nonlinear multiple input — multiple output (MIMO) feedback linearization is applied and a linear controller schema is proposed.

Field weakening implementation in AC induction machine predictive control
2011 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems, 2011AC induction motors become very popular for motion control applications due to their simple and reliable construction. Control of drives based on AC induction motors is a quite complex task. In most high-performance applications classical vector control is currently used.

Control of induction motors in the field weakening region
Proceedings of 1995 34th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002In this paper we extend the results on observerless passivity-based control of induction motors reported by Espinosa-Ortega (1994) and Ortega et al. (1995) to include the case of rotor flux norm tracking. This extension from regulation to tracking of rotor flux norm is important for practical implementation problems of the controllers where inverter ...

Control System with Field Weakening of Synchronous Motor Drive
2020 IEEE Problems of Automated Electrodrive. Theory and Practice (PAEP), 2020Improving of dynamic performance of a control system of a synchronous drive with field weakening is shown. The controllers of the angular speed of the rotor of a synchronous machine, d and q components of the stator current of the control system have synthesized using the concept of inverse dynamics problems and minimization of local functionalities in

Field-weakening method for v/f -controlled hoist drive
2011 IEEE International Electric Machines & Drives Conference (IEMDC), 2011This paper presents a field-weakening control method for V/f-controlled hoist drives. The method is based on the power limitation, which enables a load-dependent maximum speed without load measurement. In order to avoid the pull-out point of the hoist motor, the acceleration is halted if the motor input power exceeds a predefined limit. In addition, an

Maximum Torque Control of IPMSM Drive with Field Weakening Control
Journal of the Korean Institute of Illuminating and Electrical Installation Engineers, 2005Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) has become a popular choice in electric vehicle applications, due to their excellent power to weight ratio. The paper is posed maximum torque control of IPMSM for high speed drive. The control method is applicable over the entire speed range and considered the limits of the inverter`s current and ...

A robust field-weakening control strategy for IPMSM drives
The 2010 International Power Electronics Conference - ECCE ASIA -, 2010In this paper, a robust field-weakening control strategy for IPMSM drives is proposed to achieve fast response and minimum copper loss. First, the classification of three operation regions for positive speed operation is adopted. It is seen that current limit and voltage limit will affect the maximum torque capability and minimum copper loss operation.
