Current Control of Induction Machines in the Field-Weakened Region
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2006This paper presents a novel current regulation algorithm for induction machines that enables smooth operation and maximum torque-per-ampere capability over the entire field-weakened region. The algorithm enables robust current regulation with maximum torque capability despite significant variation in voltage source and machine parameters. The algorithm

Nonlinear predictive controller design of PMSM with field weakening performance
IECON 2013 - 39th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2013Model predictive control is a modern method which was used in many different applications. One of the applications are electrical machines. Designing a controller for a synchronous drive has proven itself to be a challenging task. Many authors try to substitute one or more controllers in the cascade structure.

Gain scheduling control of DC motor drive with field weakening
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1996A new adaptive control system for a DC motor drive with field weakening is proposed. The adaptation mechanism is based on the gain scheduling. A deep knowledge of the phenomena in the drive was necessary to define the scheduled variables that capture the essential nonlinearities of the process considered.

Speed nonlinear control of DC motor drive with field weakening
Conference Record of the 2001 IEEE Industry Applications Conference. 36th IAS Annual Meeting (Cat. No.01CH37248), 2002In this paper, the authors show that it is feasible to apply nonlinear multiple-input multiple-output feedback linearization technique to a separately excited DC motor system that is operated in the high-speed field-weakening regime. Load-adaptive and sensorless control techniques to improve dynamic speed performance are proposed and compared.
