Septic B-Spline Solution of Fifth-Order Boundary Value Problems
A numerical method based on septic B-spline function is presented for the solution of linear and nonlinear fifth-order boundary value problems. The method is fourth order convergent. We use the quesilinearization technique to reduce the nonlinear problems to linear problems and use B-spline collocation method, which leads to a seven nonzero bands ...

An efficient computational method for linear fifth-order two-point boundary value problems
This paper deals with an algorithm to solve general fifth-order two point BVPs in the reproducing kernel space. The authors give the exact solution denoted by series of the linear fifth-order BVPs, truncating the series, the approximate solution is obtained. Two examples are presented to demonstrate the computational efficiency of the method.

Sinc and the numerical solution of fifth-order boundary value problems
Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2007The present paper deals with numerical methods for fifth-order two-point boundary value problems on the unit interval. Problems of that type arise from modelling viscoelastic flows. The author introduces the new class of sinc-Galerkin methods, a special variant of spectral Galerkin schemes, to solve the boundary value problem.

AbstractIn order to obtain the numerical solutions of the axisymmetric Laplace equation with linear boundary problem in three dimensions, we have developed a quadrature method to solve the problem. Firstly, the problem can be transformed to a integral equation with weakly singular operator by using the Green's formula.
