Improved figures of merit for direct methods
Acta Crystallographica Section A Foundations of Crystallography, 1992The figures of merit (FOMs) proposed in a recent paper [Cascarano, Giacovazzo & Viterbo (1987). Acta Cryst. A43, 22–29] are modified to improve their efficiency. It is shown that FOMs based on psi-zero triplets and FOMs based on the distribution of the concentration parameter α can be treated by the same mathematical formalism.

Reliability as a Figure of Merit
2016An electric power converter is specified by its system performance indices. Many system performance indices like efficiency are important in design process of system. However, that doesn't mean the converter performance is necessarily adequate for a practical application.

Figure of Merit of Electronic Switching Devices
IEEE Transactions on Electronic Computers, 1965To specify the amplifying properties of various active electronic devices the gain-bandwidth product GNB is commonly used. The aim of this paper is to show that for active electronic (not electromagnetic) devices working in switching circuits, another figure of merit (analogous to the reciprocal of the gain-bandwidth product) could be derived from a ...

Stretchable Figures of Merit in Deformable Electronics
Advanced Materials, 2015Stretchable electronic systems accommodate strain in various ways-from the intrinsic mechanical properties, through composite structures, by the formation of cracks, or with other mechanisms. This has produced some imprecision in the literature on what is meant by the term "stretchable."
