Comparison of temperature data from an engine investigation for film-cooled and non-film-cooled, panwise-finned vanes incorporating impingement cooling [PDF]
The experimental temperature characteristics of two spanwise-finned, impingement-cooled vanes, one with film cooling and one without film cooling, were investigated in a modified J-75 research turbojet engine.

A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

Numerical study on the effect of rim seal slot filleting on turbine endwall cooling
In this study, the effect of rim seal slot filleting on turbine endwall film cooling performance is numerically investigated. For comparison with the baseline case, five different fillet radius and width (R/W) ratios are adopted, i.e., R/W = 1.25, 2.5, 3.

Turbine Airfoil Leading Edge Film Cooling Bibliography: 1972–1998
Film cooling for turbine airfoil leading edges has been a common practice for at least 35 years as turbine inlet gas temperatures and pressures have continually increased along with cooling air temperatures for higher engine cycle efficiency.

The effects of leading edge and downstream film cooling on turbine vane heat transfer [PDF]
The progress under contract NAS3-24619 toward the goal of establishing a relevant data base for use in improving the predictive design capabilities for external heat transfer to turbine vanes, including the effect of downstream film cooling with and ...

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Film cooling is a cooling technique in which a protective layer is generated by the coolant along the wall to shield the wall surface against high temperature flow. When the fluids of the coolant and high-temperature gas are of different qualities, it is
