Meta‐Rod Mechanical Metamaterials With Programmable Reconfiguration
Existing mechanical metamaterials achieve programmable large deformations in planar square or cubic configurations, restricted by required complex boundary conditions. This research proposes a 1D metamaterial, Meta‐rod, with linear, bending, twisting, area, and volume deformation modes.

From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

Analysis for predicting adiabatic wall temperatures with single hole coolant injection into a low speed crossflow [PDF]
Assuming the local adiabatic wall temperature equals the local total temperature in a low speed coolant mixing layer, integral conservation equations with and without the boundary layer effects are formulated for the mixing layer downstream of a single ...

3D‐Printed Porous Hydroxyapatite Formed via Enzymatic Mineralization
Bone combines lightness, strength, and the ability to heal, inspiring new materials design. This work introduces a room‐temperature, enzyme‐mediated 3D printing method to create porous hydroxyapatite scaffolds. The process avoids energy‐intensive sintering, preserves bioactivity, and allows control over porosity and mineralization.

An investigation of temperature distribution in cooled guide vanes [PDF]
A numerical study to determine the temperature distribution in the guide vane blades of a radial inflow turbine is presented. A computer program was developed which permits the temperature distribution to be calculated when the blade is cooled internally

Investigation of film cooling effectiveness and enhancement of cooling performance
Advanced gas turbines are designed to operate at increasingly higher inlet temperatures to increase efficiency and specific power output. This increase in the operating temperature is enabled by advances in high-temperature resistant materials such as super alloys and thermal-barrier coatings (TBCs) and by the development of effective cooling methods ...

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...
