Conjugate unsteady heat transfer simulation in a turbine stage
36th AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference and Exhibit, 2000A 3-D, unsteady, conjugate heat transfer Navier-Stokes solver has been used to simulate flow and heat transfer in a turbine. Simulations were performed for a singlestage turbine in the presence of a combustor hot streak. Time-average mid-span surface pressures were compared with experimental data.

An Immersed Boundary Method for Conjugate Heat Transfer Problems
ASME 2010 3rd Joint US-European Fluids Engineering Summer Meeting: Volume 1, Symposia – Parts A, B, and C, 2010This paper provides an immersed boundary method using a flexible local grid refinement technique for solving conjugate-heat-transfer problems. The proposed method is used to solve the flow past a heated hollow cylinder inside a channel together with the temperature field within the cylinder and then to predict turbomachinery blade cooling.

Conjugate heat transfer with the entropic lattice Boltzmann method
Physical Review E, 2016A conjugate heat-transfer model is presented based on the two-population entropic lattice Boltzmann method. The present approach relies on the extension of Grad's boundary conditions to the two-population model for thermal flows, as well as on the appropriate exact conjugate heat-transfer condition imposed at the fluid-solid interface.

Conjugate heat transfer from a small heated strip
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 1997Abstract This study addresses the electronic cooling problem from the perspective of scaling laws applied to a simple conjugate heat transfer geometry, steady shear flow over a heated strip on a flat plate. The results are reported in a compact form in terms of a modified Nusselt number and a combined parameter ( solk f k s )Pe

Theory of Periodic Conjugate Heat Transfer
2007This book presents the theory of periodic conjugate heat transfer in a detailed way. The effects of thermophysical properties and geometry of a solid body on the commonly used and experimentally determined heat transfer coefficient are analytically presented from a general point of view. The main objective of the book is a simplified description of the

A Conjugate Heat Transfer Procedure for Gas Turbine Blades
Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 2001Abstract: A conjugate heat transfer procedure, allowing for the use of different solvers on the solid and fluid domain(s), is presented. Information exchange between solid and fluid solution is limited to boundary condition values, and this exchange is carried out at any pseudo‐time step.
