Encapsulated filtering bleb [PDF]
Filtering bleb encapsulation may, in some cases, be a severe complication following filtering surgery. The cause and mechanism of its development are not known. A selective review of data that might shed some light on these dilemmas, is presented. Based on these data, it is suggested that: (a) non-contractile collagen-producing fibroblasts play a major

Environmental Effects of Volcanic Volatile Fluxes From Subaerial Large Igneous Provinces
Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact
An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

Bilateral spontaneous filtering blebs
To report a case of bilateral spontaneous filtering bleb, scleral thinning, microspherophakia, and mild craniofacial dysmorphism. An 18-year-old girl was referred to our clinic for evaluation of bilateral spontaneous filtering blebs. Her corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA) was 20/400 in the right eye (RE) and 20/100 in the left eye (LE).

A thermo‐responsive poly(2‐oxazoline)‐based injectable formulation is developed to modulate intraocular pressure (IOP) in both normal and hypotonic eyes. By adjusting the PEG content, the aggregation behavior is finely tuned, enabling IOP elevation without long‐term deposition.

Augmentation of Filtering Blebs with Viscoelastics in Trabeculectomy [PDF]
To evaluate the clinical outcome of viscoelastics (VE, sodium hyaluronate)-augmented trabeculectomy (VAT, 66 eyes) and conventional trabeculectomy (CT, 57 eyes) for glaucomatous eyes.In the VAT group, half of the anterior chamber space was filled with VE via the paracentesis site at the end of CT and a balanced salt solution was injected into the ...

Tumor‐derived lactate activates PSCs through MCT1‐mediated Vps34 lactylation and autophagy. These activated PSCs secrete CXCL9/10, upregulating PD‐1 on CD8+ T cells via the CXCR3/STAT3 axis to foster immunosuppression. Disrupting this metabolic crosstalk by targeting MCT1 effectively sensitizes pancreatic cancer to PD‐1 blockade, presenting a promising

Molecular and Cellular Hallmarks of Age‐Related Vestibular Hair Cell Degeneration
This study utilizes single‐cell RNA‐seq transcriptomes, advanced imaging, and electrophysiology to examine universal and cell‐type‐specific aging signatures of vestibular hair cells. The study shows that impaired hair bundle function is a key driver of age‐related vestibular dysfunction.
