ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Design of cooperative matched filter for detection of chemical agents
A matched filter (MF) is one of the most widely used detectors for the detection of chemical agent (CA) clouds in the passive hyperspectral imaging system.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Classification of digital non-linear filters by discrete convolutions
Background. In the field of digital signal processing, there are many problems that can not be solved with traditional linear filtering methods. In particular, the use of linear filtering does not allow separating signal from the noise in the case when

Using Nonlinear Diffusion Model to Identify Music Signals
In this paper, combined with the partial differential equation music signal smoothing model, a new music signal recognition model is proposed. Experimental results show that this model has the advantages of the above two models at the same time, which ...

Localisation of mobile nodes in wireless networks with correlated in time measurement noise. [PDF]
Wireless sensor networks are an inherent part of decision making, object tracking and location awareness systems. This work is focused on simultaneous localisation of mobile nodes based on received signal strength indicators (RSSIs) with correlated in ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

An Advanced AFWMF Model for Identifying High Random-Valued Impulse Noise for Image Processing
In this study, a novel adaptive fuzzy weighted mean filter (AFWMF) model based on the directional median technique and fuzzy inference is presented for solving the restoring high-ratio random-valued noise in image processing. This study aims, not only to

A Novel Deep Sparse Filtering Method for Intelligent Fault Diagnosis by Acoustic Signal Processing [PDF]
Increased attention has been paid to research on intelligent fault diagnosis under acoustic signals. However, the signal-to-noise ratio of acoustic signals is much lower than vibration signals, which increases the difficulty of signal denoising and feature extraction.
