BROADSIDE-COUPLED FILTERING CIRCULAR PATCH POWER DIVIDERS

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research C, 2014
Broadside coupling mechanism between difierent patch resonators is deployed for designing power dividers to provide bandpassing efiect. To demonstrate, two sector-shaped patches are combined and concentrically stacked on top of a circular microstrip resonator where pairs of concentric arc-shaped slots and radial notches are etched to perturb the ...

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Demodulator for carrier transducers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
A carrier type transducer is supplied with a carrier wave via an audio amplifier, a filter, a frequency divider, and an oscillator. The carrier is modulated in accordance with the parameter being measured by the transducer and is fed to the input of a ...

A Polyphase Multipath Technique for Software-Defined Radio Transmitters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Transmitter circuits using large signal swings and hard-switched mixers are power-efficient, but also produce unwanted harmonics and sidebands, which are commonly removed using dedicated filters.

Filtering power divider with good isolation performance

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2014
A filtering power divider (PD) with good isolation performance is presented. The isolation performance is improved by introducing a distributed isolation network (DINW) to replace the conventional resistor isolation network. Moreover, the proposed DINW can be incorporated into a filter design to form a filtering PD.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

A basic lock-in amplifier experiment for the undergraduate laboratory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We describe a basic experiment for the undergraduate laboratory that demonstrates aspects of both, the science and the art of precision electronic measurements. The essence of the experiment is to measure the resistance of a small length of brass-wire to

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
