NOVEL FILTERING POWER DIVIDER USING MULTIPLE INTERNAL RESISTORS

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research Letters, 2014
In this paper, we present a novel 3rd flltering power divider with high in-band isolation. The proposed device employs six quarter-wavelength resonators and six internal isolation resistors symmetrically arranged to require the power division and flltering function.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Four-way waveguide power dividers with integrated filtering function [PDF]

open access: yes
A novel power divider with filtering function has been proposed in this work. A coupled-resonator structure is utilized to realise the dual functions. This eliminates the need for conventional transmission-line splitting networks.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Wide-Band Filtering Three-Port Coupler With Inherent DC-Blocking Function

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper presents a novel wide-band filtering three-port coupler with inherent DC-blocking function, which is simply comprised of a power divider with wideband filtering function and a broadband phase shifter with a modified coupled line.

Evaluation of Lightning Impulse Test by Frequency Response Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this work are presented the basis for improving the interpretation of transformer lightning impulse test and the development of a graphical user interface system, which allows comparisons of time domain data and frequency response.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...
