An Integrated Engineering Approach to Creating Health‐Modulating Postbiotics
Postbiotics have emerged as a promising alternative to live probiotics, offering comparable health benefits while overcoming challenges related to safety, stability, and shelf life. The review addresses current challenges in standardizing postbiotic definitions and production processes, and by outlining future research directions necessary to unlock ...

Distribution of chaperone-usher fimbriae and curli fimbriae among uropathogenic Escherichia coli
In the present study, we aimed to determine the frequency of the csgA, fimH, mrkD, foc, papaGI, papGII and papGIII genes, to provide and to design fimbrial adhesin gene (FAG) patterns and profiles for the isolated uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) strains. The enrollment of 108 positive urine samples was performed during seven months, between ...

This study in Western Iran analysed E. coli in diarrhoeic neonatal calves and identified 307 isolates from 350 faecal samples. The pathotypes included EHEC (36.59%), EPEC (20.42%), ETEC (14.46%), STEC (12.34%) and NTEC (11.48%), with four STEC O157:H7 isolates. Serotypes O103 and O15 were the most common.
