Prevalence of silicosis in the Dutch fine-ceramic industry
International Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health, 1988In the nineteen-seventies a cross-sectional survey was conducted in the Dutch fine-ceramic industry. Workers employed in the ceramic industry (n = 3258) were examined for the presence of silicosis. In this article the results are reported for the area of Gouda and Maastricht. In Gouda the fine-ceramic industry consists of small workshops.

A fine ceramic and its erosion behaviour
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1997In this paper, a new powder processing method is described. A layer of metal cobalt is successfully coated on the surface of fine and TiC powders by chemical deposition. The mixture of the two kinds of Co-coated powder (about 70 wt% wt% TiC - Co) is hot pressed into a fine (ATC) ceramic.
