Privacy-aware relationship semantics–based XACML access control model for electronic health records in hybrid cloud

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2019
State-of-the-art progress in cloud computing encouraged the healthcare organizations to outsource the management of electronic health records to cloud service providers using hybrid cloud. A hybrid cloud is an infrastructure consisting of a private cloud

Solid‐State Diffusion and Intermetallic Phase Formation in Roll‐Bonded Mg–Zn Composites With Kirigami‐Patterned Inlay

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

A privacy‐preserving Blockchain with fine‐grained access control [PDF]

open access: yesSECURITY AND PRIVACY, 2019
AbstractThis article proposes a simple, efficient, and easy‐to‐use mechanism to add privacy and fine‐grained access control features to a traditional Blockchain. It uses standard cryptographic algorithms and techniques, along with a novel key derivation algorithm and a fuzzy extractor component (that derives a cryptographic key from a biometric), to ...

ERMRest: A Collaborative Data Catalog with Fine Grain Access Control [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE 13th International Conference on e-Science (e-Science), 2017
Creating and maintaining an accurate description of data assets and the relationships between assets is a critical aspect of making data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR). Typically, such metadata are created and maintained in a data catalog by a curator as part of data publication.

Time‐Dependent Oxidation and Scale Evolution of a Wrought Co/Ni‐Based Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows how a new wrought Co/Ni‐based superalloy resists oxidation at 800 ∘$^\circ$C. The oxide scale changes from rough, fast‐growing spinel to a dense, protective chromia–alumina layer. Atom probe analysis reveals tiny refractory‐rich bubbles at the interface that mark the transition to long‐term, diffusion‐controlled protection ...

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.

Efficient Attribute-Based Access Control With Authorized Search in Cloud Storage

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Attribute-based encryption has been widely employed to achieve data confidentiality and fine-grained access control in cloud storage. To enable users to identify accessible data in numerous dataset, clear attributes should be appended to the ciphertext ...
