Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology
Southern Medical Journal, 1977Aspirations were done in 221 breasts and 32 extramammary sites with a 25 gauge needle attached to an ordinary 10 ml syringe. The aspirated material was expressed from the needle hub onto a slide, smeared by means of a second slide, air dried, and stained with a Wright-Giemsa solution.

Diagnostic Cytopathology, 1993AbstractA 99‐yr‐old Chinese woman with cutaneous malakoplakia and concomitant urinary tract infection was reported. The patient presented with an ulcerated right lower quadrant mass and computerized tomography showed that it was limited to the skin and subcutaneous tissue with no extension to the pelvic or abdominal structures.

Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, 1996A protocol was developed to obtain mature lymphocytes from freshly harvested tonsils by a combination of 5‐, 10‐, and 20‐ cm3 syringes and 21‐, 23‐, and 27‐gauge needles. The cells were then suspended in Earle's balanced salt solution and counted with an automated cell counter.
