Dynamic aspiration based on Win-Stay-Lose-Learn rule in Spatial Prisoner's Dilemma Gam [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Prisoner's dilemma game is the most commonly used model of spatial evolutionary game which is considered as a paradigm to portray competition among selfish individuals. In recent years, Win-Stay-Lose-Learn, a strategy updating rule base on aspiration, has been proved to be an effective model to promote cooperation in spatial prisoner's dilemma game ...

In Reply to: Fine Needle Aspiration

open access: yesTrauma Monthly, 2014
Dear Editor, In reply to the Letter to the Editor by Prof. Wiwanitki (1) concerning my recent study, we stated that “FNA is a useful atraumatic diagnostic technique with a high diagnostic accuracy which can provide a highly sensitive diagnosis with low false positive diagnoses in patients with nonthyroidal masses” (2). The author stated that FNA has

A challenging case of Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma involving the thyroid and special considerations for diagnosis

open access: yesClinical Diabetes and Endocrinology, 2020
Background Thyroid ultrasound is usually used to risk-stratify incidental thyroid nodules. Nodules with high risk sonographic features for malignancy are evaluated by fine-needle aspiration.

Role of aspiration-induced migration in cooperation [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. E 81, 065101(R) (2010), 2011
Both cooperation and migration are ubiquitous in human society and animal world. In this Rapid Communication, we propose an aspiration-induced migration in which individuals will migrate to new sites provided that their payoffs are below some aspiration level. It is found that moderate aspiration level can best favor cooperative behavior. In particular,

Aspiration-induced reconnection in spatial public goods game [PDF]

open access: yesEPL, 94 (2011) 18006, 2012
In this Letter, we introduce an aspiration-induced reconnection mechanism into the spatial public goods game. A player will reconnect to a randomly chosen player if its payoff acquired from the group centered on the neighbor does not exceed the aspiration level. We find that an intermediate aspiration level can best promote cooperation.

A method to investigate muscle target‐specific transcriptional signatures of single motor neurons

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, Volume 252, Issue 1, Page 208-219, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Background Motor neurons in the vertebrate spinal cord have long served as a paradigm to study the transcriptional logic of cell type specification and differentiation. At limb levels, pool‐specific transcriptional signatures first restrict innervation to only one particular muscle in the periphery, and get refined, once muscle connection has ...

CT-guided biopsy of lung lesions: defining the best needle option for a specific diagnosis

open access: yesClinics, 2014
OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the performance of fine and cutting needles in computed tomography guided-biopsy of lung lesions suspicious for malignancy and to determine which technique is the best option for a specific diagnosis. METHODS: This retrospective

Long‐term prognosis is associated with residual disease after neoadjuvant systemic therapy but not with initial nodal status

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
This long‐term follow‐up study determined survival rates in a Swedish national cohort of 417 patients with breast cancer who all had neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NAST). Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) was performed before NAST in clinically node‐negative and after NAST in clinically node‐positive patients.
