Conjugated Carbonyl Compound‐Enhanced Hydrogels for Tactile Recognition
The (PAA‐2DC)‐Fe3+/PEDOT: PSS hydrogel is constructed by incorporated PI‐COF into the PAA‐based double network hydrogel, the presence of metal coordination bonds, hydrogen bonds, and a π–π conjugate system imparts excellent flexible sensing properties to the hydrogel, while demonstrating its ability to differentiate between materials of different sizes

Enhanced Vertical Sidewall Quality for Functional AlN Films in 3D Piezo MEMS Applications
This work examines cryogenic deep reactive ion etching (cryo‐DRIE) and hydrogen annealing to prepare vertical silicon sidewalls suitable for aluminium nitride (AlN) film growth. Achieving smooth and crystalline AlN on these surfaces is essential for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) applications requiring three dimensional (3D) sensing and ...

Plant‐Based Electrodes for Bioimpedance Readings of Fruit
Sustainable electronic materials derived from agricultural waste can ease waste management. Eco‐friendly conductors from tomato residues and biobased latex with conductive carbon fillers are obtained through simple water‐based procedures. These composites effectively read the bioimpedance of fruits, representing a sustainable alternative in green ...

Shedding Light on Common Misinterpretations in Photocatalyst Characterization
For heterogeneous semiconductor‐based photocatalysts, Marschall et al. highlight common misconceptions in material synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation, together with detailed explanations on how to avoid them. The guidelines thus presented can help to improve reporting of photocatalyst performance in environmental applications, such

Our present study reveals that surgical step recognition performs moderately well when trained on video data from a single institution and applied to an external institution's data. Nevertheless, our model substantially improves its prediction capabilities when trained on the same amount of data from multiple institutions.

Large Language Model in Materials Science: Roles, Challenges, and Strategic Outlook
Large language models (LLMs) are reshaping materials science. Acting as Oracle, Surrogate, Quant, and Arbiter, they now extract knowledge, predict properties, gauge risk, and steer decisions within a traceable loop. Overcoming data heterogeneity, hallucinations, and poor interpretability demands domain‐adapted models, cross‐modal data standards, and ...
