Initial results of finger imaging using Photoacoustic Computed Tomography [PDF]
We present a photoacoustic computed tomography investigation on a healthy human finger, to image blood vessels with a focus on vascularity across the interphalangeal joints.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Gyroscope Sensor Based In Vivo Finger Axes of Rotation Identification Using Screw Displacement
This paper presents a low-cost, efficient, and portable in vivo method for identifying axes of rotation of the proximal interphalangeal and distal interphalangeal joints in an index finger.

Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

Anthropomorphic modular gripper finger actuated by antagonistic wire and shape-memory alloy (SMA) springs [PDF]
The traditional underactuated grippers can only passively adapt to the contour of the object, and the passive contact process may lead to the object slipping, affecting the stability of the grasping process.

Dexterous manipulation of unknown objects using virtual contact points [PDF]
The manipulation of unknown objects is a problem of special interest in robotics since it is not always possible to have exact models of the objects with which the robot interacts. This paper presents a simple strategy to manipulate unknown objects using

14‐day casting‐induced immobilization reduced gastrocnemius muscle mass and increased non‐heme iron and ferritin heavy chain levels. Despite iron accumulation, transferrin receptor 1 and iron regulatory protein 2 were paradoxically upregulated. Lipid peroxidation was elevated without compensatory antioxidant responses.

Fingertip force estimation method of a human-like 3DOF robotic finger capable of fast tapping motion
There are several studies focusing on rapid tapping motion for a robotic finger, including not only a theoretical approach of musculoskeletal modeling of a human finger but also an empirical challenge with robotic finger.
