Finitary algebraic logic II

Mathematical Logic Quarterly, 1993
AbstractThis is a supplement to the paper “Finitary Algebraic Logic” [1]. It includes corrections for several errors and some additional results. MSC: 03G15, 03G25.

Classification of involutions on finitary incidence algebras

International Journal of Algebra and Computation, 2014
Let X be a connected partially ordered set and let K be a field of characteristic different from 2. We present necessary and sufficient conditions for two involutions on the finitary incidence algebra of X over K, FI (X), to be equivalent in the case when every multiplicative automorphism of FI (X) is inner. To get the classification of involutions we

Invertibility preservers of finitary incidence algebras

open access: yesRendiconti Del Circolo Matematico Di Palermo
Let $X$ be an arbitrary poset and $K$ an arbitrary field. We describe linear unital invertibility preservers of the finitary incidence algebra $FI(X,K)$ in terms of certain maps of the power set algebra $\mathcal{P}(X)$ and linear maps $FI(X,K)\to J(FI(X,K))$.

Finitary incidence algebras and idealizations

Linear and Multilinear Algebra, 2015
Let F be a field and P a poset. Then FI(P) denotes the finitary incidence algebra of P over F and I(P) is the corresponding incidence space. Moreover, let be the idealization of I(P) over FI(P). We determine the F-algebra automorphisms of D(P) and investigate when FI(P) is a zero product determined algebra.

A Jordan Approach to Finitary Lie Algebras

The Quarterly Journal of Mathematics, 2016
Summary: A Lie algebra \(L\) over a field \(\mathbb{F}\) is said to be finitary if it is isomorphic to a subalgebra of the Lie algebra of finite rank linear transformations of a vector space over \(\mathbb{F}\). A non-zero element \(a \in L\) is said to be extremal if \(\operatorname{ad}_a^2 L = \mathbb{F} a\).

Homomorphisms of Finitary Incidence Algebras

Communications in Algebra, 2012
For any field K and poset P, the incidence space I(P) and the finitary incidence algebra FI(P) were introduced in [5]. The K-vector space I(P) is an FI(P)-bimodule. We investigate K-linear maps from FI(P) to I(P) that preserve submodules. We also consider the idealization FI(P)(+)I(P) of I(P).

Finitary Observations in Regular Algebras

2000
We investigate regular algebras, admitting infinitary regular terms interpreted as least upper bounds of suitable approximation chains. We prove that finitary observable contexts are sufficient for observational indistinguishability in a regular algebra.

Inner Ideals of Finitary Simple Lie Algebras

Journal of Lie Theory, 2006
A Lie algebra over a field is said to be finitary if it is isomorphic to a subalgebra of the Lie algebra of all finite rank operators on a vector space. An inner ideal of a Lie algebra \(L\) over a field is a subspace \(I\) satisfying \([I\,[I,L]]\subseteq I\). Central finitary simple Lie algebras over characteristic zero fields has been classified by \
