Local systems in simple finitary lie algebras
A Lie subalgebra L of glk(V) is said to be finitary if it consists of elements of finite rank. We show that every simple finitary Lie algebra over a field of characteristic ≠2, 3, 5, 7 has a local system consisting of perfect central extensions of finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras.

Finitely Presentable Algebras For Finitary Monads
For finitary regular monads T on locally finitely presentable categories we characterize the finitely presentable objects in the category of T-algebras in the style known from general algebra: they are precisely the algebras presentable by finitely many generators and finitely many relations.

Strongly Finitary Monads for Varieties of Quantitative Algebras. [PDF]
Quantitative algebras are algebras enriched in the category Met of metric spaces or UMet of ultrametric spaces so that all operations are nonexpanding. Mardare, Plotkin and Panangaden introduced varieties (aka 1-basic varieties) as classes of quantitative algebras presented by quantitative equations.

Algebras for parameterised monads [PDF]
Parameterised monads have the same relationship to adjunctions with parameters as monads do to adjunctions. In this paper, we investigate algebras for parameterised monads. We identify the Eilenberg-Moore category of algebras for parameterised monads and

A new foundation for finitary corecursion and iterative algebras [PDF]
This paper contributes to a theory of the behaviour of "finite-state" systems that is generic in the system type. We propose that such systems are modelled as coalgebras with a finitely generated carrier for an endofunctor on a locally finitely presentable category.

Algebraic cocompleteness and finitary functors
A number of categories is presented that are algebraically complete and cocomplete, i.e., every endofunctor has an initial algebra and a terminal coalgebra. For all finitary (and, more generally, all precontinuous) set functors the initial algebra and terminal coalgebra are proved to carry a canonical partial order with the same ideal CPO-completion ...

GROUP GRADINGS ON FINITARY SIMPLE LIE ALGEBRAS [PDF]
We classify, up to isomorphism, all gradings by an arbitrary abelian group on simple finitary Lie algebras of linear transformations (special linear, orthogonal and symplectic) on infinite-dimensional vector spaces over an algebraically closed field of characteristic different from 2.

Lie-type derivations of finitary incidence algebras [PDF]
Let $P$ be an arbitrary partially ordered set, $R$ a commutative ring with identity and $FI(P,R)$ the finitary incidence algebra of $P$ over $R$. Under some natural assumption on $R$, we prove that each Lie-type derivation of $FI(P,R)$ is proper.
