Finite-Time Boundedness of Impulsive Delayed Reaction–Diffusion Stochastic Neural Networks

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems
Considering the impulsive delayed reaction-diffusion stochastic neural networks (IDRDSNNs) with hybrid impulses, the finite-time boundedness (FTB) and finite-time contractive boundedness (FTCB) are investigated in this article. First, a novel delay integral inequality is presented.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Finite-Time Distributed Energy-to-Peak Control for Uncertain Multiagent Systems

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
This paper investigates the finite-time distributed L2–L∞ consensus control problem of multiagent systems with parameter uncertainties. The relative states of neighboring agents are used to construct the control law and some agents know their own states.

Finite‐time boundedness of switched delay systems: the reciprocally convex approach

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2014
This study is concerned with the problem of finite‐time boundedness analysis for switched delay systems with the average dwell time. By combining the Jensen inequality and the reciprocally convex approach, a sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the finite‐time boundedness of switched linear systems subject to time‐varying delays.

Interactions between Molten High‐Silicon Electrical Steels and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

Shifting finite time stability and boundedness design for continuous-time LPV systems [PDF]

open access: yes2015 American Control Conference (ACC), 2015
In this paper, the problem of designing a parameter-scheduled state-feedback controller is investigated. In particular, the concepts of finite time stability (FTS) and finite time boundedness (FTB) are extended, introducing their shifting counterparts.

Multimodal Mechanical Testing of Additively Manufactured Ti6Al4V Lattice Structures: Compression, Bending, and Fatigue

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this experimental study, the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti‐6Al‐4V lattice structures of different geometries are characterized using compression, four point bending and fatigue testing. While TPMS designs show superior fatigue resistance, SplitP and Honeycomb lattice structures combine high stiffness and strength. The resulting

3D‐Printed Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) Sensors Based on Self Compliant Springs

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores 3D‐printed GMR sensors utilizing self‐compliant spring structures and conductive PLA composites. By optimizing arm width, we achieved high piezoresistive (0.34%/mm) and magnetoresistive (0.77%/mT) sensitivities. Demonstrated through Bluetooth‐integrated pressure and magnetic position sensing, these full printed low‐cost, customizable

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed
