Microstructure‐Controlled Crack Propagation and Fracture Resistance in MoSiBTiC Alloy Revealed by Multiscale Extended Finite Element Method Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

A new passive repetitive controller for discrete-time finite-frequency positive-real systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This work proposes a new repetitive controller for discrete-time finite-frequency positive-real systems which are required to track periodic references or to attenuate periodic disturbances.

Finite Time Stability and Optimal Control for Stochastic Dynamical Systems

open access: yesAxioms
In real-world applications, finite time convergence to a desired Lyapunov stable equilibrium is often necessary. This notion of stability is known as finite time stability and refers to systems in which the state trajectory reaches an equilibrium in ...

Guaranteed Cost Finite-Time Control of Discrete-Time Positive Impulsive Switched Systems

open access: yesComplexity, 2018
This paper considers the guaranteed cost finite-time boundedness of discrete-time positive impulsive switched systems. Firstly, the definition of guaranteed cost finite-time boundedness is introduced.

Finite-Time Non-Fragile Extended Dissipative Control of Periodic Piecewise Time-Varying Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper studies the problem of finite-time non-fragile extended dissipative control for the periodic piecewise time-varying systems. First, based on the time-varying Lyapunov matrix and the matrix polynomial condition, a sufficient condition of finite-

Evaluation of Plasticity and Creep Parameters From Tensile Stress–Strain Data for a Range of Strain Rates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This plot compares experimental tensile stress–strain curves (with 4 different strain rates) and corresponding modelled curves (obtained using the optimised sets of Voce and Miller–Norton parameter values shown). The inferred M‐N values, characterizing the creep, are very similar to those obtained via conventional creep testing.

Robust Finite-Time Output Feedback Control for Systems With Unpredictable Time-Varying Disturbances

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This work presents a robust finite-time output feedback control method for a number of nonlinear systems that suffer unpredictable time-varying disturbances. The developed method takes advantage of control techniques based on a finite-time state observer
