Convergence of Euro Area Inflation Rates [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the behavior of inflation rates among the 12 initial Euro countries in order to test whether and when the group convergence initially dictated by the Maastricht treaty and now by the ECB, occurs.

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Parallel Rank of Two Sandpile Models of Signed Integer Partitions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
We introduce the concept of fundamental sequence for a finite graded poset X which is also a discrete dynamical model. The concept of fundamental sequence is a refinement of the concept of parallel convergence time for these models.

Inflation convergence after the introduction of the Euro [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Using the Johansen test for cointegration, we examine to which extent inflation rates in the Euro area have converged after the introduction of a single currency.

LEAD: Literature Enhanced Ab Initio Discovery of Nitride Dusting Layers for Enhanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance and Lower Resistance Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

Gapless Superconductivity From Extremely Dilute Magnetic Disorder in 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx hosts gapless superconductivity at unexpectedly low magnetic impurity concentrations. Combining STM, Bogoliubovde Gennes simulations, DFT, and quasiparticle interference, we comprehensively study the development of gapless behavior and show that SeS substitution reshapes the band structure, enhances nesting, and drives ...

Finite-Time Robust Composite Backstepping Control Based on a High-Order Sliding Mode Observer for Quadcopter AAV Trajectory Tracking

open access: yesIEEE Access
This study proposes a finite-time robust composite backstepping controller (FCBSC) to address trajectory tracking challenges of quadcopter autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs) under unpredictable exogenous disturbances and system’s parametric ...

Localized Temperature Monitoring in Mouse Brain during Light Delivery via a Non‐Planar Tapered Fiber‐Integrated µRTD Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

Regional convergence in Italy: time series approaches

open access: yes
This paper investigates the evolution of the gap between Italian regions and Italy as a whole during the period 1980-2007. We tested for the presence of the stochastic and β-convergence hypotheses using different time series approaches.

Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.
