Finite-Time Synchronization for Delayed Complex Dynamical Networks With Synchronizing or Desynchronizing Impulses

IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, 2022
In this article, the finite-time synchronization problem of delayed complex dynamical networks (CDNs) with impulses is studied, where two types of impulses, namely, synchronizing impulses and desynchronizing impulses, are fully considered, respectively.

Finite-time stabilizing excitation control of a synchronous generator

International Journal of Systems Science, 2002
Using finite-time control approach, this paper proposes a new design method of non-linear robust excitation controllers of the third-order model in power systems. The finite-time excitation controller obtained here can improve the system's behaviour in several aspects, such as quick convergence and robustness for bounded uncertainties. Simulations show

Finite time synchronization of networked Kuramoto-like oscillators

2016 Australian Control Conference (AuCC), 2016
In this paper we consider the finite time synchronization problem for networked Kuramoto oscillators. We propose two types of synchronization protocols, both of which involve continuous phase couplings. Based on the finite time Lyapunov theory, we prove that if initial phases of all oscillators are located in a semi-circle, then their phases will reach

Finite-time Outer Synchronization Under Unbounded Delays

2019 6th International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI), 2019
The finite-time outer synchronization (FTOS) problem under unbounded delays is considered. Comparing to a large amount of previous literatures ignoring the time delays that are unbounded and non-differential, this paper gives more concern on that. Moreover, the pinning control is introduced, which is easier to realize in practice.

Synchronization of chaotic orbits: The effect of a finite time step

Physical Review E, 1993
Two chaotic orbits can be synchronized by driving one of them by the other. Some of the variables of the driven orbit are set continuously to the corresponding variables of the drive orbit. It has been seen that synchronization can be achieved if the subsystem Lyapunov exponents corresponding to the remaining or response variables are all negative.

Finite-time stochastic synchronization of genetic regulatory networks

Neurocomputing, 2015
This paper is concerned with the finite-time synchronization for a class of stochastic genetic regulatory networks (GRNs). The purpose of the addressed problem is to design a controller that can synchronize the concentration of the mRNA and the protein of GRNs in finite time with probability.

Finite‐Time Synchronization of General Complex Dynamical Networks

Asian Journal of Control, 2014
AbstractThe main objective of the present paper is to further investigate finite‐time synchronization of a general complex dynamical network from the viewpoint of dynamics and control. By utilizing the finite‐time stability theory combined with the inequality techniques, several sufficient criteria on finite‐time synchronization are derived ...

Finite-Time Synchronization of Impulsive Dynamical Networks With Strong Nonlinearity

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2021
Finite-time synchronization (FTS) of dynamical networks has received much attention in recent years, as it has fast convergence rate and good robustness. Most existing results rely heavily on some global condition such as the Lipschitz condition, which has limitations in describing the strong nonlinearity of most real systems.

Finite‐time synchronization and adaptive synchronization of memristive recurrent neural networks with delays

International Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, 2018
SummaryThis paper solves the finite‐time synchronization and adaptive synchronization problems of drive‐response memristive recurrent neural networks with delays under two control methods. First, the state‐feedback control rule containing delays and the adaptive control rule are designed for realizing synchronization of drive‐response memristive ...

Finite-Time Synchronization of Memristive Neural Networks With Fractional-Order

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, 2021
In this paper, the problem of the finite-time synchronization is addressed for a kind of fractional-order memristive neural networks (FMNNs). First, a new power law inequality with fractional-order and two finite-time fractional differential inequalities are established by means of L’Hospital rule, Laplace transform, and reduction to absurdity, which ...
