Regular orbit closures in module varieties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Let A be a finitely generated associative algebra over an algebraically closed field. We characterize the finite dimensional modules over A whose orbit closures are regular varieties.Comment: 11 ...

Finite Non-Commutative Associative Algebras as Carriers of Hidden Discrete Logarithm Problem

open access: yesBulletin of the South Ural State University Series Mathematical Modelling Programming and Computer Software, 2019
The article introduces new finite algebras attractive as carriers of the discrete logarithm problem in a hidden group. In particular new 4-dimensional and 6-dimensional finite non-commutative algebras with associative multiplication operation and their ...

Finitely generated algebras with involution and their identities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Associative algebras with involution over a field of zero characteristic are considered. It is proved that in this case for any finitely generated associative algebra with involution there exists a finite dimensional algebra with involution which ...

Certain associative algebras similar to $U(sl_{2})$ and Zhu's algebra $A(V_{L})$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
It is proved that Zhu's algebra for vertex operator algebra associated to a positive-definite even lattice of rank one is a finite-dimensional semiprimitive quotient algebra of certain associative algebra introduced by Smith.

On the monoid algebra associated to the monomial characters of a finite group

open access: yesQuaestiones Mathematicae, 2023
Given a finite group $G$, we study the monomial algebra $R_G$, generated by the monomial characters of $G$. In particular, we note that the integral closure of $R_G$ is contained in the algebra generated by those characters $χ$ for which their associated Artin L-function $L(s,χ)$ is holomorphic at $s_0\in\mathbb C\setminus\{1\}$.

Equivariant one-parameter deformations of associative algebras [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Algebra and its Applications, 2018
We introduce an equivariant version of Hochschild cohomology as the deformation cohomology to study equivariant deformations of associative algebras equipped with finite group actions.

Finitely generated invariants of Hopf algebras on free associative algebras

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2007
We show that the invariants of a free associative algebra of finite rank under a linear action of a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra generated by group-like and skew-primitive elements form a finitely generated algebra exactly when the action is scalar.

The subclass algebra associated with a finite group and subgroup [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1975
Let G G be a finite group and let H H be a subgroup of G G . If g ∈ G g \in G , then the set E g = { h g h − 1

The classifying algebra for defects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We demonstrate that topological defects in a rational conformal field theory can be described by a classifying algebra for defects - a finite-dimensional semisimple unital commutative associative algebra whose irreducible representations give the defect ...

Simple finite-dimensional double algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A double algebra is a linear space V equipped with linear map V ⊗ V → V ⊗ V . Additional conditions on this map lead to the notions of Lie and associative double algebras.
