A feasible lookahead control for systems with finite control set

Proceedings of 2005 IEEE Conference on Control Applications, 2005. CCA 2005., 2005
In this paper, we present a feasible control approach for a general class of systems with finite control set. The objective of the controller is to direct the system towards a desired set-point state and then maintain the system within a known neighborhood of this state.

Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control of Static Compensator

2019 IEEE 28th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2019
Static Var Compensators (SVC) are related to improve quality of electrical energy in power grids. There are described two topologies of the static var compensator in the paper. First of them is a star/Y-connected topology and the second one is a delta/D-connected topology. Both are composed of H-bridge converters as power sources because their possible

Sets with finite $${\mathbb H}$$ -perimeter and controlled normal

Mathematische Zeitschrift, 2010
With the Heisenberg group \(H^n\), \(n\geq 1\) identified with \(C^n \times \mathbb R\), a Lebesgue measurable set \(E\subset H^n\) is said to be of finite \(H\)-perimeter in the open set \(\Omega\subset H^n\) if \(\sup\{\int_{E} div_H \psi dz dt : \psi = (\psi_1, \dots , \psi_{2n})\in C^{1}_c(\Omega, \mathbb R^{2n}), \|\psi\|_{\infty}\leq 1 ...

Feedforward Finite Control Set Model Predictive Position Control of PMSM

2018 IEEE 18th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (PEMC), 2018
This paper presents a predictive controller that simultaneously controls the position, speed and the current of PMSM. The controller is based on finite control set model predictive control approach. Motion profile generator is used for the generation of reference signals.

Finite dimensional attainable sets for stochastic control systems

Advances in Applied Probability, 1975
Letx t u (ω) be a stochastic control system on the probability space (Ω, ℱ,P) intoRn. We say that the pointx∈Rn is (e, δ) attainable at timet if there exists an admissible controlu such thatPxo{x t u (ω)∈S∈(x)}≥δ, wherex0(ω)=x0, e≥0, 1≥δ≥0, andS∈(x) is the closed Euclidean e-ball inRn centered atx. We define the attainable setA ɛ δ (t) to be the set of

Adaptive control of Markov chains, I: Finite parameter set

1979 18th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control including the Symposium on Adaptive Processes, 1979
Consider a controlled Markov chain whose transition probabilities depend upon an unknown parameter α taking values in finite set A . To each α is associated a prespecified stationary control law \phi(\alpha) . The adaptive control law selects at each time t the control action indicated by \phi(\alpha_{t}) where α t is the maximum likelihood estimate of

Finite control set predictive control of shunt hybrid power filter

International Journal of Electronics, 2016
ABSTRACTThis paper proposes a finite control set predictive control (FCS-PC) scheme for the shunt hybrid power filter (SHPF) to reduce the power loss while maintaining satisfactory power quality at the utility’s grid terminals. By means of the instantaneous power theory, the controller for the proposed method can generate the reference voltage for the ...

Finite Control Set - Model Predictive Control applied to multicell rectifiers

IECON 2013 - 39th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2013
Multi-cell converters allow the use of AC motor drives for medium and high voltage level applications using low voltage semiconductors. This type of converter has a multi-pulse transformer which performs the cancellation of the low frequency harmonics generated by the three-phase diode rectifiers.

Finite-Control-Set Model Predictive Control for DFIG Wind Turbines

IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, 2018
This paper presents a time efficient finite-control-set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) scheme for the doubly fed induction generator system. In this scheme, the switching states of the rotor side converter are directly taken as control inputs. This way, the optimized control action can be directly applied to the converter.

Selective Harmonic Suppression for Finite-Control-Set Model Predictive Control

2019 21st European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE '19 ECCE Europe), 2019
For finite-control-set model predictive control with long horizons, a method is proposed that allows targeted harmonics in the current spectrum to be suppressed. The method involves adding band-pass filters at target frequencies, which are then included in the state-space representation of the prediction model.
