A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Efficient explicit time stepping for the eXtended Finite Element Method (X‐FEM) [PDF]
AbstractThis paper focuses on the introduction of a lumped mass matrix for enriched elements, which enables one to use a pure explicit formulation in X‐FEM applications. A proof of stability for the 1D and 2D cases is given. We show that if one uses this technique, the critical time step does not tend to zero as the support of the discontinuity reaches

From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

Finite Element Method (FEM), Mechanobiology and Biomimetic Scaffolds in Bone Tissue Engineering [PDF]
Techniques of bone reconstructive surgery are largely based on conventional, non-cell-based therapies that rely on the use of durable materials from outside the patient's body. In contrast to conventional materials, bone tissue engineering is an interdisciplinary field that applies the principles of engineering and life sciences towards the development

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

Computation of the magnetostatic interaction between linearly magnetized polyhedrons
In this paper we present a method to accurately compute the energy of the magnetostatic interaction between linearly (or uniformly, as a special case) magnetized polyhedrons. The method has applications in finite element micromagnetics, or more generally

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.

An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

To calculate the distribution of the magnetic field and eddy current density on the surface of an aluminium plate, a method that couples the face-smoothed finite element method (FS-FEM) to the boundary element method (BEM) is proposed in this study. This
