FINITE GRASSMANNIAN GEOMETRIES
The author studies geometries in a vector space \(V \cong {\mathbb F}_{q}^{n}\) with odd \(q\) which is provided with a non-degenerate bilinear form \(\xi\). The set \(\{U \leq V \mid \dim U = k\}\) is denoted by \({\mathfrak L}_k(V)\). The Grassmann space \({\mathbb G}_{k,m}(V)\) is the incidence structure \(({\mathfrak L}_k(V),{\mathfrak L}_m(V),\leq)

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Finite geometry and black hole stability: embedding discrete space into classical manifolds
The issue of defining the volume of black holes has significant implications for quantum gravity. Drawing on concepts from quantum theory and general relativity, several motivations for introducing discreteness in geometry can be proposed ...

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

A commutative noncommutative fractal geometry
In this thesis examples of spectral triples, which represent fractal sets, are examined and new insights into their noncommutative geometries are obtained.

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Some applications of finite geometry for secure network coding
In this paper we examine the problem of linear and nonlinear secure network coding from a finite geometric point of view and give some negative and positive results if we require information theoretic security based on Cai and Yeung [N. Cai and R.
