Numerical analysis of ponded infiltration experiment under different experimental conditions

open access: yesSoil and Water Research, 2009
One of the most important properties, affecting the flow regime in the soil profile, is the topsoil saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks). The laboratory-determined Ks often fails to characterise properly the respective field value; the Ks lab estimation

Piston Compression Ring Elastodynamics and Ring–Liner Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication Correlation Analysis

open access: yesLubricants, 2022
Friction loss in an internal combustion engine largely depends on elastohydrodynamic lubrication. The piston compression ring is a contributor to such parasitic losses in the piston subsystem.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

BIALGEBRAIC STRUCTURES AND SMARANDACHE BIALGEBRAIC STRUCTURES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The study of bialgebraic structures started very recently. Till date there are no books solely dealing with bistructures. The study of bigroups was carried out in 1994-1996. Further research on bigroups and fuzzy bigroups was published in 1998.

Constructions and Enumerations of Self-Dual and LCD Double Circulant Codes over a Local Ring

open access: yesMathematics
The construction of self-dual and linear complementary dual (LCD) codes over finite rings, particularly over semi-local and local structures, is an active area of research due to their algebraic richness and applications in communications and ...

A Study on the Influence of the Cross-Sectional Shape of the Metal-Inserted Retainer Ring and the Pressure Distribution from the Multi-Zone Carrier Head to Increase the Wafer Yield

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
In this paper, for the purpose of increasing the wafer yield by controlling the non-uniformity of the material removal rate during the chemical mechanical polishing process, the influence of the cross-sectional shape of the metal-inserted retainer ring ...

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Classification of Rings with Toroidal and Projective Coannihilator Graph

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
Let S be a commutative ring with unity, and a set of nonunit elements is denoted by WS. The coannihilator graph of S, denoted by AG′S, is an undirected graph with vertex set WS∗ (set of all nonzero nonunit elements of S), and α∼β is an edge of AG′S⇔α∉αβS

Thermodynamic Pathways of Nonequilibrium Solidification in Wire‐Arc Additive Manufacturing Fe‐Based Multicomponent Alloy Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...
