Finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness of fractional order switched systems
Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, 2019Finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness of fractional order switched systems with [Formula: see text] are investigated in this paper. First of all, by employing the average dwell time technique and Lyapunov functional method, some sufficient conditions for finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness of fractional order switched systems ...

Finite-Time Stability and Boundedness of Switched Systems with Finite-Time Unstable Subsystems
Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 2018In this paper, problems covering finite-time stability and boundedness of switched systems with finite-time unstable subsystems are researched through the method of multi-Lyapunov function. On basis of the mode-dependent average dwell time method, the systems are required to meet the standards of remaining finite-time stable and finite-time bounded ...

Queues with Finite Waiting Time
Operations Research, 1963The paper considers a single-server queuing system in which a customer does not wait more than a fixed time k, so that if he does not get his service within this time, he departs. Some results are obtained by applying the theory of storage.

Finite-time control with pole placement
2003 European Control Conference (ECC), 2003In this paper we deal with the problem of designing an output feedback controller which guarantees, at the same time, that the closed-loop poles are in specified regions of the complex plane and that the system under control is finite time bounded. This is accomplished by means of a dynamic compensator in the controller-observer form.

Finite-Time Input-to-State Stability and Applications to Finite-Time Control Design
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2010This paper extends the well-known concept, Sontag's input-to-state stability (ISS), to finite-time control problems. In other words, a new concept, finite-time input-to-state stability (FTISS), is proposed and then is applied to both the analysis of finite-time stability and the design of finite-time stabilizing feedback laws of control systems.

Hypothesis testing with finite memory in finite time (Corresp.)
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1972The hypothesis-testing problem has recently been studied under a finite-memory constraint. However, most work has been concerned with the large-sample theory. Here we study the small-sample theory for binary-valued observations.

Finiteness Analysis in Polynomial Time
2002To achieve the termination of offline partial evaluation, it is necessary to ensure that static variables assume boundedly many values during specialization. Various works have addressed the analysis of variable boundedness, also called finiteness analysis, in the context of specializing first-order functional programs.
