Two-parameter finite settling time stabilization

Proceedings of 35th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002
The flexibility of a two-parameter feedback scheme is used to solve the finite settling time stabilization (FSTS) problem for MIMO discrete-time systems. A complete parametrization of the family of all FSTS controllers is obtained through the use of two independent free polynomial matrices. Based on this parametrization the problems of FST tracking and

Finite-time stability of cascaded time-varying systems

International Journal of Control, 2007
The uniform global finite-time stability is discussed for a cascaded time-varying system consisting of two uniformly finite-time stable subsystems. It is shown that a forward completeness condition is enough to ensure the uniform global finite-time stability of the system.

Further results concerning finite-time stability

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1969
Weiss and Infante [1], [2] developed sufficient conditions for finite-time stability of a vector differential equation. It is shown here that some of their theorems actually imply the stronger property of uniform finite-time stability. A theorem is presented which gives sufficient conditions for stability but not necessarily uniform stability.

Finite time stability of nonlinear systems

42nd IEEE International Conference on Decision and Control (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37475), 2004
Finite time stability is defined for non autonomous non linear systems. Starting with the proof of an old result from Haimo which gives necessary and sufficient condition for autonomous scalar systems, then we extend this result to n-dimensional systems through the use of Liapunov functions and (here the obtained results are less restrictives).

Finite-time and fixed-time stability and synchronization

2016 35th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2016
Recently, finite-time and fixed-time stability has been a hot topic in the study of dynamical systems. In this paper, we will provide an insightful view on this issue and explore the intrinsic property by mathematical analysis. Several theorems and corollaries show how to find the settling time. Moreover, we apply the corresponding theory on the finite-

Finite time stability and comparison principles

Mathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 1968
Motivated by discussion on practical stability in LaSalle and Lefschetz (3), Weiss and Infante (5), have discussed various notions of stability over finite time interval of a given differential system. This theory of stability differs from the usual stability theory mainly by the preassigned limits to which any given solution of the differential system
