Uniqueness properties in finite-continuous additive measurement
Mathematical Social Sciences, 1981Abstract Let ≳ be a binary relation on A × X , and suppose that there are real valued functions f on A and g on X such that, for all ax, by ∈ A × X , ax ≳ by if and only if f ( a )+ g ( x ) ⩾ f ( b )+ g ( y ). This paper establishes uniqueness properties for f and g when A is a finite set, X is a real interval with g ...

Cancellation Conditions for Finite Two-Dimensional Additive Measurement
Journal of Mathematical Psychology, 2001It is well known that a weak order similar on a finite set X=X(1)xX(2) has an additive real-valued order-preserving representation if and only if similar on X satisfies a denumerable scheme of cancellation conditions C(2), C(3), em leader. Condition C(K) is based on K distinct ordered pairs in XxX.

Finitely additive extensions of countably additive measures
1994Let \({\mathcal A}\) be an algebra of subsets of a set \(X\) and \(\Sigma\) be the \(\sigma\)-algebra generated by \({\mathcal A}\). Examples are given of a positive \(\sigma\)-additive measure on \({\mathcal A}\) which has a finitely additive, non \(\sigma\)-additive extension on \(\Sigma\).

On finitely additive measures in nuclear spaces
1998Under certain conditions, it is stated the existence of a Radon-Nikodým Pettis-type derivative of a finitely additive measure taking values in a locally convex topological vector space \(X\) with respect to a positive finitely additive measure. Furthermore, some Radon-Nikodým theorems for the Bochner integral are proved under the assumptions that \(X\)
