Formulation of Fipronil based Gel Bait from In-House Raw Materials for Control of Cockroaches: A case study at Chemplex AgroPharma.

open access: yes
AbstractCockroach infestations pose significant public health and hygiene challenges in food-handling facilities. This study evaluated the efficacy of an internally prepared insecticidal gel bait containing 1% (w/w) fipronil active ingredient. Field Evaluation of Boric Acid- and Fipronil-Based Bait Stations Against Adult Mosquitoes

open access: yesJournal of the American Mosquito Control Association, 2008
The effectiveness of boric acid (1%) and fipronil (0.1%) bait stations in reducing the number of laboratory-reared female Aedes aegypti and Ochlerotatus taeniorhynchus mosquitoes released in outdoor screened cages was evaluated. Both toxicants significantly reduced landing rates of the 2 mosquito species on a human subject.

Control of the Sugarcane Wireworm Melanotus sakishimensis (Coleoptera: Elateridae) by a Fipronil Bait.

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Applied Entomology and Zoology, 2007
Effects of fipronil bait (0.5%) on sugarcane wireworm Melanotus sakishimensis Ohira were evaluated in laboratory and field experiments. A laboratory experiment comparing the efficacy of fipronil bait with 1% fipronil granules indicated that the fipronil bait actually attracts and kills wireworms.
