Monitoring Mitochondrial Function With High‐Resolution Respirometry During Ex‐Situ Heart Perfusion
Artificial Organs, EarlyView.Normothermic ESHP preserves mitochondrial respiratory function over 6 h in a porcine model (n = 6): OXPHOS capacities across NADH‐, fatty‐acid‐, and succinate‐linked pathways remain stable, with reduced cytochrome‐c control efficiency indicating improved outer‐membrane integrity. HRR provides a rapid, actionable readout for organ assessment.
