Bee community and trait‐based responses to fire in a Mediterranean landscape
Insect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.Fire drives a short‐term increase in bee abundance and diversity, despite its strong negative impact on floral resources. Acting as an environmental filter, fire shapes bee communities as increased post‐fire fine‐scale heterogeneity favors bees with specific functional traits such as ground‐nesting and generalist species.
