Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.

First-Order Shear Deformation Theory Variants for Curved Sandwich Panels
Due to the curvature, the first-order shear deformation theory for curved sandwich panels is not a direct extension of the corresponding one for flat panels; thus, it is formulated accordingly, and...

An asymptotically exact first-order shear deformation theory for functionally graded plates
An asymptotically exact first-order shear deformation theory for functionally graded elastic plates is derived using the variational-asymptotic method. As an application, an analytical solution to the problem of wave propagation in a sandwich plate is found in accordance with this refined theory. Comparison between the dispersion curves obtained by 2-D

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

Cylindrical bending of orthotropic plate strip based on nth-order plate theory
In this paper, cylindrical bending of orthotropic plates is presented using nth-order plate theory. Classical plate theory and parabolic shear deformation theory of Reddy can be considered as special cases of present theory.
